I always recommend Laduree to traveling friends!
By ,
After 3 trips to Paris, I can safely exclaim that Laduree is my favorite tearoom - it is so much nicer than Angelina's. I have visited all three - actually four if you count the small tearoom in Printemps. I always go there twice each visit: first time to have lunch, dessert and take out treats for our hotel room. My second visit is to purchase gifts for family and friends the day before departure. They can't wait for my return because they know I am bringing chocolate and macaroons from Laduree! There is nothing in the U.S. to compare to a macaroon from Laduree!

Great food, great ambiance
By ,
We are a group of 35 whose office Christmas party was a weekend in Paris. On Saturday night we had a big dinner out at Laduree Champs Elysees. We had booked this a few weeks in advance and we were put in La Chocolatier, a beautifully appointed room upstairs from the main restaurant. We had a fixe prix menu organised in advance with the very patient and helpful receptions manager. The food and wine were excellent. Service was good. Many of us went downstairs to the patisserie (open until 11 p.m.) and bought gift boxes of Laduree's famous chocolates and macaroons to bring home. A super night out.

Perfect restaurant for an anniversary dinner
By ,
This is a reasonably affordable restaurant of your dreams, and all in Rokkoko style. Many cozy individual dinner chambers rather than one huge room make for a private and yet selectively social atmosphere. The menu lists just about 3 items in most categories except for an extensive dessert choice, but it covers a broad spectrum.. fish, poultry, meat.. you name it. Food is prepared from "normal" ingredients, in the most delicious way you can imagine. It's perfectly seasoned (we did not touch the salt/pepper shakers once during our meal). Laduree does not need to rely on Kangaroo meat and shark eyes to make a meal special. The service is very polite, unobtrusive and perfectly timed. 3-course dinners start at 29 Euro. You will love this restaurant for any good occasion, but please don't appear in your oldest iron maiden tshirt and the holy sneakers of 1980. A bit of style will fit the ambients perfectly. We found ourselves lingering on long after we were done with dinner, contently leaning back in the Rokkoko sofa... simply for the pleasure of it.
