Rôtisserie d'en Face (La), Paris

It is Paris. The food was homey yet a culinary delight at the same time. I am going back this summer and it is at the top of my list! I will update upon my return.

My friend M and I were in Paris for a weekend this January and decided to treat ourselves to a fancy meal. Rotisserie d'en Face is where we chose to go. It was right near all of the cute little cobblestone side streets, and litte shops. Very close to the underground. We both ordered the chicken and mashed potatoes and were not at all dissapointed. The mashed potatoes were the best I have ever had! Perfectly creamy and fluffy. The chicken was great as well, very juicy. To finish it off, we both got dessert that was very satisfying. A little on the expensive side but overall-amazing! I would definitely recommend it =D

I have been here multiple times and loved it each time I am back. The set menu is very good value and I liked each of the courses. The highlight was the warm centered chocolate cake, with the melted chocolate center. It was here in 1994 that I first had it, years before it became popular all over the world. I would always come back here for a good, simple meal.
