Emporio Armani Caffe, Paris

It's been years since I've had as miserable a dining experience in Paris as the one my wife and I experienced at the Armani cafe this evening. Our first dinner course came with no problem. then we waited for the carbona which was to finish off the meal. And we waited. And waited. For more than 45 minutes. The waiter was incredibly rude. Dimissively,he announced it was on its way. We waited some more. Finally fed up, we told him to forget the carbonara, simply bring the bill. Suddenly, it arrived. We said it was too late; we didn't want it. Tough. He charged us for it, anyway. Grudigingly, rather than get embroiled in a fight on a lovely Paris evening, we ate the carbonara. What's so astonishing about all this, there was not a single word of explanation or apology, simply a nasty waiter and one of the most sour dining experiences I've ever had in the city of light. Mon Dieu, Monsieur Armani, is this the way you treat all your customers?

what I have always like about the food and wines for that matter at the Armani Cafe in Parigi, is the authenticity of the food. They use real food, no additives , at least that is what it tastes like. About the wines, certainly they are not cheap , true, as the food, but they are well worth it, freshly opened , when by the glass, and they serve a vaste variety of Italy's best. I' m going there again tomorrow so I'll up date if it has changed.. cheers!

We enjoyed everthing but the calamari...grilled and delicious...was a highlight. It's noisy and the tables are a little close, but they gave us a table with no reservation and were pretty friendly about it and it is Paris! Expensive, like everything in the city. Wine was excellent.
