Good food, but lax service
Aux Vins des Pyrenees is one of those places where you have a good experience the first time, but later visits disappoint.
The food is in fact quite good. Dishes are somewhat traditional, but the menu changes frequently and there is always something interesting to try. Prices are just a tad too high for what you get. The wine list is a little more indie than many similar bistros.
Service is generally mediocre to poor. Expect long waits between courses--even by French standards. Groups of foreigners are particularly ignored. It's bad enough that I've stopped taking out-of-town visitors here.
Bref, it's okay, but you can do better in this price range and this neighborhood.
