Barrio Latino, Paris

I went there on april the 5th with my wife, and my wife´s purse was stolen, we only had 2 mojitos each(they were 15 euros each) , so we were not drunk, we were sitted by the bar, so we think somebody from inside the bar stole the purse, when we ask the manager to let us check on the video he basically run away, and didn´t let us check, we lost 2 days on the police and the US consulate so we can recover our passports, definitely the worst experience ever at a bar

We stumbled across Barrio Latino on a Saturday night and our intention initially was to eat, but when we got inside, the dance floor was packed! We immediately sat at a table right off the dance floor, ordered some tapas and drinks and had a really good time. We are from NY so we appreciated that the DJ played a wide variety of music, a little latin, a little disco (old school), a little hip hop (old school) a little pop (old school). Ambiance was nice, mojitos were good. We also went on a Tuesday, not bad for a Tuesday, but the crowd was a little less exciting and the music wasn;t as good. Also, if you don't speak french make sure you can point to what you want to drink on the menu.

I went to this club on 21/08/2004 with 2 friends. We pain �8 each to enter, but were told that if we ate (there's a restaurant), this money would be refunded at the door. We did have a meal there. But when we came to leave, the doorstaff refused to refund the entrance fee, coming up with any number of ridiculous and arbitrary excuses. After complaining to someone claiming to be the manager (who essentially just ran off after a few minutes), we had to give up and leave.

I have been to clubs in London, New York, Berlin and Amsterdam. However I have never come across such a nakedly corrupt scam to defraud people. I would advise everyone to avoid this place for fear of also being falling victim to a similair scam.
