More »Bedecked with pebbles, this 18th-century building, designed by architect M. Marot, has been devoted to contemporary art since 1973. It fulfills a number of functions: not only is it an arts centre, but also a hub of artistic research, lodging for artists and a national art school. There are some excellent temporary exhibitions, including French and international installation art, abstract works and sculptures. For the art academics, there is also a well-stocked library. Admission is free.
