Atelier des Jouets
A real dream of a shop, this place has been open for a couple of years now in Vieux-Nice, close to Cours Saleya, on a tiny little square at which Rue Jules Gilly and Rue Barillerie meet. At the entrance, a huge automated cuddly toy bear blows bubbles into the air, which then float off into the surrounding area to the amazement of both children and adults. It has banned Playstations and other electronic games from its shelves in order to devote itself to the simplest of toys - wooden toys, soft toys, doll's tea sets and more. However, you should bear in mind that in spite of the shop's old-fashioned feel, these toys have been adapted for today's generation; you won't just find soft toys in the form of small white rabbits, but also some very stylized grey rats, just like cartoon characters.
One of the very few stores where you can find really good quality old-fashioned toys with brands like "Moulin-Roty" and theur amazing collection of baby soft toys and "dinette" for toddlers. Wooden toys, old fashioned teddy bears, beautiful dolls and games for all age. A must see!!!!
