Relax over a meal or a drink here on the terrace (heated in winter) as you watch the world go by on La Croisette seafront. Popular with celebrities during the Film Festival, including models like Naomi Campbell and Laetitia Casta, who have been known to drop by. The fabulous, home-made pastries served here at breakfast are a festival legend and there's an excellent wine list (including a Château Petrus) to accompany the seasonal menu. Dining room seats 80, terrace 50.
My wife and I along with 3 other couples were in the Cannes area over New Year's and had two very pleasant experiences at Le Festival - La Plage. Maybe it was just the time of the year for us but the service was very good as was the food. Of course, the lunch was not cheap because of the current relatively negative rate of the dollar/euro exchange. Lunch ran around $30 per person including gratuity but excluding wine which for us pushed up the cost an average of an additional $7 per person again including gratuity.
The people watching was great. We plan to return again.
Sadly, my son and I must say our meals here were horrendous; the worst food in all our world travels. Lamb was ALL FAT and Fish was not fresh! The outdoor seating gives you front row seats to view the masses pass by on La Croisette and boardwalk. We didn't stay for dessert, but perhaps that and a coffee would be tolerable as the price to pay for people watching. The service was horrendous with lengthy delays in food and drinks served. Pass on this restaurant.
The decor here is original to say the least. If you've never seen an aircraft inside a restaurant before, then
this is the place to come. Choose from a menu featuring pizzas cooked over a wood fire, grills and ...
Named after the famous Italian volcano, this restaurant is located between two prestigious hotels: the Carlton and the Martinez. Its
cuisine is bursting with Italian flavours. Start with Antipasti (similar to French hors d'oeuvres), consisting of cold meats, peppers ...
The dazzling white and wrought iron facade of this old style hotel rises above the Allees de la Liberte. Just
a hop from the Palais des Festivals (where the annual Film Festival is held each year) and facing the ...
