Description

A splendid Belle Epoque setting and refined, creative cuisine are behind the well-deserved Michelin three stars, a prestigious culinary honour. The chef, Francis Garcia, creates such delights as raviole de langoustine au citron vert (ravioli with crayfish filling and lime sauce), terrine de foie gras de canard (duck liver pâte), melon soup, and shellfish in Muscat wine. The service is efficient, but incredibly discreet. Many famous people have sat under the strange, rocky archway: Sandra Berhnardt, Winston Churchill and Toulouse Lautrec, among others. Lunch menu: EUR26; dinner: EUR42-73.

Been three times and it always bad

Quality and price were very poor indeed. The cuisine was not all all good, the service was varied. For the price paid it was very bad value, the worst in France in my considerable experiece. I have eaten in most of the three star restaurants in France and have been a professional reviewer for a number of newspapers and magazines. horrible food, service, and disgusting. they should clean the place up, i almost threw up right as i walked inside. it was one of the worst experiences that i have ever had.

Fantastic!

My Fiancee and I had the pleasure of dining at Le Chapon Fin and it was terrific. My Fiancee and I were treated wonderfully and the space is incredibly romantic, I must have fallen in love several times that night. The Chef's creation were sensational and to this day, nearly a year later, am still thinking about our meal. Now if that doesn't qualify as an exceptional dining experience then I don't know what does. If I am ever in Bordeaux I would surely return to Le Chapon Fin.

La Chapon Fin--Very memorable

Tho I would not put Le Chapon Fin among the top restaurants in France or even The Bordeaux Region, it was enjoyable and had something you seldom if ever find in gourmet establishments, it was fun with a fun waiter, yet very efficient. Both The cuisine and presentation are good but not very memorable. The Restaurant itself is very memorable and definately should not be missed when in Bordeax. All in all it made for a good evening.
