Estaquade (L'), Bordeaux

This restaurant is built on stilts on the right bank of the Garonne, and in the evening affords a view of the illuminated Place de la Bourse. The menu offers many seafood specialties: tartare of salmon flavoured with oranges, aïoli of cod (served with a garlic sauce) or a whole sea bream cooked Spanish style. There are also meat dishes, such as roast lamb with a spicy crust. The cuisine is fairly traditional and the reception always pleasant.
