Entrecôte (L'), Bordeaux

the queue for this place was absolutely unbelievable..A colleague and I just stumbled across this restaurant and was curious why there was such a long queue there. Asked a gentleman in the queue and he said that place is well known for it's steak and the queue is there everyday and get's worse later..so we decided to join the queue (it was 20 minutes before opening time 6.40pm) after waiting for 20mins, the restaurant finally opens and everyone poured into the 4-storey high restaurant, filling up the whole place in 5 minutes.. incredible. the food was just average in my opinion. no choice for anything else apart from the standard walnut salad and steak in a very oily sauce. it was strange to see everyone eating the same thing like in a school cafeteria..few hours later, our stomach started to feel bloated and aching..the stomach pain lasted all night until the next morning and nearly missed our flight back to uk because we had to keep going to the toilet. There must be soemthing wrong with the food that night to give us stomach problems..but i guess we were just unlucky as i wouldnt think ppl will be queing there for food poisoning!. So in summary, really impressed with the amount of loyal customers they have, but not so happy about getting stomach discomfort from the food. Restaurant is over-rated in my opinion.
