This large Indian restaurant features an elegant, airy decor, creating a fairly grandiose dining room. The menu offers choices from across the range of Indian cuisine: chicken, lamb and vegetable curries, 100 per cent vegetarian dishes and tandoori chicken, with rose or mango lassi drinks and semolina and cardamon-based puddings for dessert. Dishes are well presented and perfectly spiced. The service can be a tad haughty, but the food remains a local favourite.
This is a really really nice place to go and eat. However the dishes have been altered for the French Taste which is a real pity. It would be great if the dishes were more authetic with a spicey flavour. I found them to have minimal flavour for Indian dish and not like the same indian dishes I have tried in other countries or homemade. I go here as they have vegetarian options, and the ambiance is great. But otherwise the food could do with an Indian Spice addition and traditional flavours
