A "Must Eat" if you like Thai...
I read about this restaurant here and decided to give it a try--I'm so glad I did! This is one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever eaten at--in any country!
It's beautiful both inside and out with lots of candles, flowers and ambiance. The owner is very nice and very hospitable. We had a wonderful evening, and I would go back in a heartbeat!
Our food was truly amazing. I had the Khun Juk dinner which included the appetizer "tasting plate" with 6 appetizers--each was fantastic, but the chicken sate was the best in my opinion.
The Tom Yum Soup was the best I'd ever had; it was fragrant with large chunks of shrimp, mushrooms and tomatoes--delicious!
For an entree, I had the duck--the menu said the dinner included poussin (young chicken), but the owner graciously allowed me to change the soup and/or entree to something else if I preferred. Each course was better than the last.
For dessert, I had traditional Thai fruit with coconut ice cream and a small coconut "pancake"--it was also delicious.
We had a lovely conversation with the owner who explained that the Thai fruit wasn't so easy to get here in Copenhagen, but that he ordered it special and got it in fresh every Wednesday. At the end of dinner, he called a taxi for us, and gave us complimentary glass of champagne while we waited for the taxi. Once the taxi arrived he escorted us to the car with an umbrella since it had begun to rain.
All in all it was simply a perfect evening and I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. I'll be back the next time I'm in Copenhagen.
