When in Rome (or Copenhagen)....
We read about this restaurant on here and wanted to try some typical Danish food, but wanted to avoid the tourist traps and sky-high prices. This was just the ticket!
I'm not a huge fan of fish, but really wanted to try the local cuisine while I was here. I tried the Petersborg Plate which was spicy or pickled herring (not too bad!), Smoked Salmon or Eel, a fried fish, roast beef with potato salad, Ham with Italian salad, Meatball with red cabbage and cheese. The platter comes with bread and butter and "homemade fat"--yep, I even tried that, and realized that it wasn't horrible, but I definitely prefer butter.
There were other platters and some open-faced sandwiches that are also typically Danish.
The restaurant is very charming and has a lot of history as well. The staff is very nice and attentive and the food was beautifully presented, fairly priced, and, most importantly, tasted good.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to really experience Copenhagen and Danish food.
