Premiant City Tours, Prague

Our Prague hotel recommended Premiant, so we took their half day "Grand sightseeing tour #3A". Definitely not worth the money!! The driver was surly and unhelpful. The guide was hard to understand, in English or in French (for 2 Belgians present), and did not know enough to answer questions. She often spoke with her back to the group, so we couldn't hear, and didn't keep track of us. Five months pregnant and obviously tired, she did the minimum. Finally my husband and I gave up, left the group and explored on our own. This was a ripoff indeed.

We have just returned from three days in Prague where we took the Premiant Grand tour, including the castle & the boat trip. It is a total rip off. It does not include enry into anything and the boat trip is about 40 minutes on a boat designed for dinners & lunches you can't see anything. We were picked up from our hotel and driven to a spot where we sat for thirty minutes while they worked out which guide would accompany us. We then drove straight to the Castle & walked around the outside of it and the Cathedral. No entry just walked with every other tourist. We were then taken to a small coffee shop and sat down and then got a bill for the coffee. OK but tell us first. Then a quick drive to the boat which was a waste of time. All in all you would be far better doing it on your own and saving the money. Walk & use public transport

We took two tours in Prague with Permiant Tours and found both somewhat disappointing. Our trip to Kutna Hora felt rushed and somewhat unorganized. The tour was given in both English and Spanish, both of which the guide spoke poorly. Since I can speak both languages, I pretty much got the gist of what she was saying by hearing bits and pieces in each language, but others in our group were not as lucky. The guide was not very knowledgeable, sticking to a prepared script instead of being prepared to answer questions. The bones in the church were interesting, but I didn't think Kutna Hora was as pretty or interesting as Prague and it was a long drive to get there. Our city tour was in Russian and English. This guide spoke better English, but it was distracting having her spend so much time in Russian for only two Russian customers. Our driver was late picking us up for the river cruise portion of the trip so we had to stand around (no place to sit) for 15 or 20 minutes waiting. When we got to the boat it was pulling away from the dock and had to come back for us. I found it unexplainable that the guides from the two other groups from the same company doing the same itinerary in other languages boarded the ship with their groups and did not tell the boat that we were delayed. We booked the tours from home in advance of our trip, so they refused to pick us up at our hotel. We were told that if we had booked from the hotel they would have picked us up. Why the difference? The pickup spot right on the street wasn't particularly convenient to our hotel and was difficult to find. We didn't like the tours being in different languages, and the first guide's poor command of English was a big problem. The first tour departed late (again no place to sit) and almost missing the boat on the second tour was unexcusable. These tours were not as well organized as we would have liked.

We purchased the excursion to Kutna Hora - next time, I will just hire a car and go on my own! The highlight of the trip was supposed to be the bone church. Well, we get there, and we have all of 10 minutes to run around and take what pictures we can before we get back in the bus. The tour guide was on a mission, and didn't allow us to stop and take pictures - we're tourists, for crying out loud!! And if you wanted to purchase anything, you were pretty much out of luck; there was no stopping anywhere unless it was on the schedule, and the schedule didn't have time for shopping. We had 40 minutes of free time at the end, but there was no way to get back to some of the places we went in that time. I have been on guided tours before, and it was NOTHING like this. They picked us up at our hotel, so it was assumed they would drop us off as well - not the case! We were dropped off in the middle of Prague to find our own way back. Absolutely terrible service and experience!

The premiant City tour was a complete rip off. We were promised a 1 hour trip down the Vltava, taking in the Charles Bridge and the castle. Well, we were on the boat for an hour, but 35-40 mins of that was spent in the lock, we were between 2 brick walls!! We didn't get any where near the bridge before the boat started to turn around and as for the castle, we had a better view of it from our hotel. The trip was about £10, not expensive, but I expected more for my money. There wasn't even any commentary, probably just as well, as there was nothing to see. I would advise that you shop around for a boat tour and base your choice on other people's recommendations.
