Opera Grill, Prague

I found Opera Grill by pure co incidence when in Prague in 1996. Since then I have told many Icelanders about this cozy restaurant and each and every one have the same experience as I did: They love the place. I´m still looking for the owners of the place then as I lost track of them. I will definately visit Opera Grill in October when in Praha. Regards from Iceland, Anna

My husband and I went to this restaurant 32 years ago and found it to be a most unique experience. There are only a few tables, with individual high back tapestry chairs, a musician playing a baby grand piano in the corner and a bar tender playing tunes at the bar by rubbing the tops of wine glasses. The atmosphere was elegant, and the food was outstanding. After 32 years years will be planning to go back when we visit Prague in July, and will be taking our family there for the experience. Can't wait. If your in this city, you shouldn't miss it. We have been telling our friends about it for the past 32 yrs. Enjoy

This cozy restaurant is one of my favorite experiences in prague. There are only a few tables here, so reservations are mandatory. The ambience is one of baroque splendor, with cushy chairs, and an ample dollop of crystal and gold. We started with a glass of french champagne, started with a first course of lobster bisque, and progressed to entrees of lamb and steak. All were delectable. The presentation and attention to detail were remarkable. The final tally came to approx US 115$, which I felt quite a bargain. - CBB
