Opened in May 1989, this former Pakistani restaurant became the first Irish pub in Brussels. Due to its popularity, many others followed suit. Today, there are about 18 Irish pubs in the city. The James Joyce Irish Pub is a cozy watering hole and during the summer, those preferring fresh air are welcome to take their place in the back garden. Guinness is a popular favorite here, of course. The lunchtime menu includes Irish stew and smoked salmon.
