Caramba, Antwerp

This Mexican restaurant got its name from one of the famous TinTin comic books in which a parrot suddenly cries Caramba! The restaurant is crammed with images of parrots: on posters, place mats, the wooden beams, and in its logo. The restaurant has a dark and comfy section, but there is also a more spacious and brighter sitting area. You will not only find delicious exotic offerings, but also less spicy dishes such as steaks and vegetarian meals. Every week there is a new suggestion varying from meat to fish to vegetarian. The excellent food can be accompanied by fine wines from Portugal, Spain or Mexico; all this at very reasonable prices.
