If you walk from the Vleeshuis in the direction of the Grote Markt, you'll probably go down the Oude Beurs, an attractive street in the old part of the city, where you'll find a picturesque salad bar called Sjalot en Schanul (Shallot and Scallion). You can buy fresh vegetable in one part of the shop. The Salad menu is pretty varied here. Try one with Shrimps and Avocados or Pasta with Tuna - all with fresh herbs of course. You can also order to take away.
