This has been one of the most popular places for jazz lovers in Vienna for many years. The focus is on boogie, Dixieland and blues. There's not just a great number of excellent musicians who keep coming back, but also plenty of regular customers. It's always jammed, so it's wise to arrive at least half an hour before the concert starts, in order to find a seat with a view of the stage. Any extra time is also put to good use having dinner here. The menu offers popular, traditional Austrian dishes.
I liked the audience, they were fantastic, quiet, when the band was playing and loads of cheering between the songs. However I went in not too late and got charged 30 euros for two persons and we had to stand at the bottom of the steps and could'nt even see the band!I think they should have told us that there was no room left. What about the fire regulations for this venue?!Any way Austrian people are really really friendly and educated AND WE LOVE THEM ALL!
