Description
Towering 1,800m over Salzburg, Mount Untersberg is the highest peak in the vicinity of the city. Walkers will need about three hours to reach the peak and alpine equipment and thorough knowledge of the mountains are essential. An easier way of getting to the top is to take the cable railway to the alpine station and then walk the last few metres up to the peak. Both the peak and the alpine station offer stunning views over Salzburg and the Austrian Alps. Prices are: EUR 18; concessions EUR 9.
