Description
Established in 1955 and made a national park in 1970, Parque Volcán Irazú is very popular, and with its lovely views and interesting craters, it is easy to see why. The volcano is active, and you can see its effects in the craters with its green water, with its grey ashes, and "Diego de la Haya." You can also walk around the park, and a small cafe offers soft drinks, coffee and light meals.
