Description

With a history that dates 500 years, this stone structure truly deserves its place of honor in the National Historic Register. The English and the Dutch attacked El Morro or Castillo San Felipe del Morro repeatedly in its time. Located on the San Juan Bay , the six-story fort was originally constructed in 1540, although its exterior walls were not erected for another 200 years. Inside the walls is a veritable labyrinth of chambers, barracks, hallways and prison cells. The fort was given a complete facelift in 1992.

is like the best place from the other islands that i have seen this is too beatiful i love puerto rico, it was a woderful experienced for me a friend of mine told me about it and i am so exited summer to come because i am going back

i loved san juan! just amazing!!! i got the best tan in the world and want to go back really soon!! my husband loved it also. great place for family!

Y like traver to the past

Is pacefull, beautiful. I rely like Sam Juan, Puerto Rico. Irealy recomended. Is a exelent exprerience.# Y went i wentantigua guatemela an y veri similar in the antic structur but San Juan have the ocean that meke mor beautifulll al you see. The place that mi son mare like in the oll san jus was "el perque de las palomas" like the call becuse he was impresine with the amoun of brids an give food for all. I rely recoemnded Y visit the party of the streed os SAn Sebastian. Y beautuful!!!!!!

i am so excited as i walk up to the cite it just gives of a beautiful feeling im so happy i went there i will never forget it i will most likely goback to puerto rico and if i do go back i will for sure give this wonderful place another visit

Awe Inspiring!

Just an amazing fortress at the mouth of San Juan Harbor with all sorts of fascinating nooks and crannies. Beautifully constructed and maintained. Spectacular views. Fun watching kids fly kites on the promenade.

Old Fort

This is a cool looking fortress! It is also maintained very well. It has a beautiful view of the ocean and the bay. Great for taking breathe taking pictures! A MUST SEE WHILE IN PUERTO RICO!

I thought I that el morro was a very fun place for me and my friend to go to on spring break. My friends and I had a blast st el morro and are planning to go back next year. So if you have the chance to go/ go and have a great time with who ever you go with.

i liked el morro very much because it like a musium inside of a beatiful castle. the only problem is the walking that has to be done but if you are up to it the walk doesnt matter.
