Butterfly Art Gallery, San Juan Antiguo

We took a cruise on Adventure of the Sea (Royal Carribean) from San Juan PR. After that we decided to spend few more days in San Juan. Old City is amazing, nice sites, buildings that 300-400 hundred years old. Just walking on light blue stones that paved almost all streets in old city and more then 500 years old makes you feel like you touching very old pages of history. We took a map at Starbucks (that is helpfull while exploring Old City) and that's how we found Butterfly People home. Very easy to find, just walking distanse from sea port.. But what we saw their took our breese away, it's awesome,we never saw something like this before. You can look at butterlyes displayed in glass boxes on walls, for hours and it will not tire you. I highly recommend everybody who is planning to visit Sun Juan to go and see Butterfly House. We bought one display as a presend for our grand daughter and I know it's just the beginning. We will buy more of this displays, because it's amazing. Also who likes to see flamenco show and stays in San Juan on sunday I would recommend to go to a little reastaurant Toro Saloo located 367 Calle Tetuan SOFO (all shows take place on Fridays and Saturdays, this is only one show you can see on Sunday). I found this information on Google. Location is very easy to find, walking distance from sea port in old city. Flamenco dancers, singer and gitar player were amazing, great, can compare just with Flamenco show we saw in Barselona, Spain. We also had a nice dinner in this restaurant. We had really gtreat time while visiting Old San Juan.

This city and its galleries are a most see for anyone. San Juan is a UNESCO historic site well preserved for many generations. During my visit I took several pictures, and anyone can see some at finejrphotography. The Butterfly gallery is one sample of the the beautiful rich island.

This is worth a visit. Geat place to cool off also.

I just came back from my first visit to Puerto Rico. What an enchanting island! On my trip there I went to various places including Old San Juan...Old San Juan is an mystical place full of hidden beauties. There I found The Butterfly People which took my breath away. It is clean, organized, and most of all beautiful. It has an extensive variety of butterflies and are all amazing. Don't miss it! ..you'll be missing out on one of the best things puerto rico has to offer...

My friends and I visited Puerto Rico for Spring Break. Our favorite spot was the Old City and the most awesome place was The Butterfly People. This gallery is awesome, there were hundreds of different species and the colors are amazing. Don't miss it!!!

20 years ago I was in San Juan and visited the butterfly people, they have now moved place. What I liked the most was that it was a place where you could sit an d relax having a juice or something sorrounded by all those beautiful butterflyes, by green plants and a fantastic relaxing Vivaldi music. Now its very nice with the butterflyes and all but it isnt exactly the same, I missed the music and the atmosphear of just sitting there with my juice while admiring all the beautifull butterflyes.

First impressions are everything to me. The store was clean, bright, well organized, and the art work was displayed beautifully. The staff was very informative, personal, and very attentive. The gallery had been recommended by a friend and I was not at all disappointed once I saw it for myself. The variety of butterflies is unbelievable. I would recommend Butterfly People as a must see stopping place when in San Juan.

It's alright but very dirty. The exibit itself is pretty but it looked like all the butterflies were about to fall of out of the picture. And i don't mean that in a good way.

Walking into the store was like stepping into another world. It felt very peaceful to be surrounded by these gorgeously colored creatures. It truly is an "art" gallery. The presentations were beautifully arranged as more of a piece of art rather than a butterfly collection. The cases were shipped to our home and arrived more promptly than we expected. We will definately visit this gallery the next time our vacation takes us to San Juan.
