Combate Beach (El)
In Cabo Rojo , the Playa Combate is located in the town of the same name, which like Balneario de Boquerón , is a small but lively fishing village. The beach itself comprises a huge sandy stretch (three miles long), and is lined with street sellers, which offer anything from fritters to cold beers (good under the hot sun!). Combate, however can get really crowded with locals on weekends, particularly on holidays like July 4 (Independence Day) and July 25 (Constitution Day).
We really love CABO ROJO, my husband and I went there for 4 days and we have a good time. The beaches are beautiful the people were nice, and the place that we stayed was cheap with a good service. Also the food was delicious and cheap too. It was like a second honeymoon for us, we had a wonderful time.
This place is absolutely wonderful! We go every year to Combate! The beach is better than the one in Boqueron (and not as many mosquitos like Boqueron). The people are friendly and everyone always seems to be having a great time! Can't wait to go back next year!

If you love nature and tranquility this is your dream place.
Reastaurants are good and the seafood is just marvelous.
Puerto Rico has alot of beautiful beaches and I have seen most but Combate is wonderful. Que belleza. I went in March during spring break unlike Boqueron, it wasn't packed and the sunset was beautiful.

From March-November it's fulled of the local tourist who most of them don't care about beach clean up and of course, hurricanes destroy the beauty of the place. Good to go with a companion. Alone women can be dangerous! Certainly, the government need to improve the quality of life in the island...
