I am a Puerto Rican and take offense at the remarks re my "Beautiful Island." Evidently, these tourists did not visit the whole island. In every city and country you have your areas that are less desirable, but to trash P.R. when you were just visiting and have not seen "My Isla" I find offensive and rude. You lack the cultural graces. I have been to many islands, but Puerto Rico by far is the most beautiful, along with St. Lucia. Try and visit the inland and see the beauty of the island and the native people, who are the most hospitable I have ever met, warm and kind and willing to help. You definitely did not meet the "Real Puerto Ricans" who are educated and graceful.
I love Mi Isla

Not very helpful or polite. I understand Spanish and overhead some comments about my wife and I when we stayed there! Forget the passport. I say get the passport and go to a real tropical paradise not a floating trash can!
I went on a cruise (Royal Carribian Navigator of the Seas) this past July for our honeymoon and stopped in San Juan just to visit the Louis Vuitton store. I purchased an Alma and a wallet there after many hours of research before our trip. To my suprise, I got a thank you card from the store when I arrived back home. It was my first "Louis" so I was excited... they were so nice in sending the note. I would highly reccomend anyone going on a cruise stopping there.
