Miró Marisquería Catalana (Hotel El Porto), Santurce

Food took over an hour and a half to come to our table..waiter ignored us..never asked us if we wanted another drink..food was plain,and cold when arrived!! The ambience was nice but we sat right next to the band and had trouble talking..overall not my favorite!!

Just a brief note: although it is true that food from Spain differs greatly in the different areas, in this case it's not necessary to say that food in this restaurant "is not Spanish, it is Catalonian". Please take into account that seafood IS NOT a Catalonian specialty. Galician seafood is one of the best seafood in the whole world, seriously. Catalonian food is better known for their sausages, cold meat and so on, among other specialties. Obviously, you simply cannot expect to taste real Spanish food and delicacies the Caribbean...

My husband and I loved loved loved this place! We ate here three times during our week stay. The bread and garlic butter is to die for. The spreadable butter has this rich, almost hot garlic flavor and is absolutely delicious!! The dishes come out sizzling hot and the food is primo. Try the Vieiras Ajillo and the Camarones Ajillo. They are in this garlic butter sauce that has a flavor that's unique, unlike anything we have ever had. Delicious!! The mojitos and pina coladas are wonderful too! Service is great and very friendly. Our waiter on Friday night brought his pet iguana to work with him, and it was gorgeous and sat out front of the restaurant on a chair all night! What a loyal pet! We dined inside twice, and outside once. Highly recommended place!! If you like seafood, you will LOVE Marisqueria Miro! When we dined here, it is located on Ashford, not in a motel though.

The food was very good, can't say the same about service. There were like 4 waiters available to serve a group of 5 and they still couldn't get it right. We were not asked even once how we were doing, or if we needed anything else. We did no get water. When we asked if we could get a split bill, their answer was, "sorry, its already made", and then they had the audacity of asking if we needed a calculator (they were quick to facilitate us doing their job!!). Anyway, they did a good job or ruining the good food they had just served us.

cant wait to go back and have a great time.. and have a great dinner! att Miro the best restaurant in Puerto Rico of seafood. My kids dont like seafood but they love the fish nuggets and everything! i really love Miro! And its in a great place!

My wife and i used to live a block away from Miro so we dined there no less than 4 times a month. The reviews on this site are accurate. You can almost close your eyes and point anywhere in the Menu and you'd chosen a great dish. I am back in PR for a few weeks working on a movie and I am dying to try the new location one of these days we don't work for 15 hours. By the way, one of the reviewers said they have great Margaritas..Why would you even go to a Catalonian seafood restaurants to have Mexican drinks? Also, don't call it Spanish food....It is Catalonian. Another world altogether even when it is part of Spain.

Fun casual decor, fabulous food and Marcelo our waiter was charming and entertaining. We had the Seafood pasta and lobster with bottle of Arzuaga Crianza an excellent complemet suggested by Marcello. Requisima!

I am glad to see the reviews still hold up to my experience. I am from Pennsylvania, but I lived 3 blocks away from Miro for 3 years. The margharita's are to die for, and I am typically a wine drinker everywere else. The grilled seafood plate was my favorite. Grilled raddicio, raw crushed garlic, razer clams, squid, octopus, prawns.... this food does not exist in Pennsylvania. For a change the pasta in garlic and squid ink was just awesome. Always freindly service too. I always came here with freinds and visitors.

Our dinner was so special, we returned the next night. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of tasty appitizers and fresh seafood dishes at this Spanish restuaurt. A pitcher of light Sangria caps off the meal nicely.

This restaurant was amazing! While visiting Puerto Rico I was lucky enough to dine at Miro... more then once. The food was incredible and the service was delightful. If you love seafood, you will love the menu at this restaurant!
