Want guided scuba tours? Then give this company a call. Beginners can also opt for the starter class. Apart from regular scuba diving sites and drops, this company also arranges wreck dives and night dives for those who are so inclined. Most of the dive sites can only be reached by boats, although a few are accessible from the shore. PADI certification courses are also offered. If you have no equipment, you can easily rent what you need.

New owners have renamed this dive centre as Dive Cabarete. They specialise in small groups to ensure a great scuba diving experience for everyone. Also offer Snorkelling trips.

Friendly Dive Shop

The owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful in taking care of everything. Since I haven't been diving for a while so I was a bit rusty at the beginning. My dive master Andy was very patient and helped in every possbile way to feel at ease. The dive sites were all good. I would definiitely like to come back next time.

Excellent diving

Visited Hippocampo to learn to dive through a friends recommendation..Best thing I ever did. The Dive Team..2 Andy's... were very friendly..very safety conscious and very professional.They made my course alot of fun and i have nothing but good things to say.I would recommend them to anyone who wants to dive who is a little bit nervous. Thanks Hippo team again.

Great diving experience

Enjoyed my first diving experience with Hippo. Couldn't have asked for a better group of instructors. Kudos to Sasha (dive instructor) for his excellent instructions and confidence building tips. This is a professionally and well managed operation - you won't be disappointed. I'll be back during my next DR vacation.

Didn't think about diving until I met the Dive team at Hippocampo.Very professional and friendly and made learning a joy.The courses are well priced and well conducted. I would definately recomend this dive centre to all beginners as the staff were so friendly,safe and professional.Not like some places where you are afraid to ask what they will think is a stupid question.Go there and see for yourself.Best time to visit is June to September but I had a great time in November.

Nothing but good things to say.Enjoyed every minute underwater and above with the team .Made diving easy and enjoyable for a beginner like me.I have since taken my advanced and am grateful to Hippocampo for showing me the way.

Much more professional than courses in Egypt, though in the bottom views are not so spectacular. Recommended for people who are afraid of water:-)Many exercises in a pool...

Great service, hotel pick-up, kit prepared for me and then carried the 2 minutes to the boat. Great dive at 3 Rocks, 29 degrees, good visi, plenty to see and photograph (rented as well!). spent time on Sosua Beach after, declining the free return taxi offered, as it is SO beautiful here.
A must...........
Will go back for my next Padi grade without a doubt! Be silly not to, as the prices are so good, diving conditions ideal all year and the staff so professional.
See you there I hope........................
