Despite its humble origins in 1935 as a modest grocery store in the Colonial Zone founded by the Spanish immigrant Manuel González Cuesta, nowadays the Centro Comercial Nacional (CCN) operates one of the most important group of commercial establishments. The group includes of the largest supermarket chains; a bookstore; a toy store; a chain of economical grocery stores; as well as a home decoration center. The projects of CCN, include the construction of a megacenter, a gigantic shopping center with an area of 64,000 square meters.
