The best steak... by far
I have yet to eat a piece of meat as good as the ones prepared here. Nowhere, even the famous names from New York, Miami, Chicago, Austin, have in my opinion come close. My favorite cuts are the cowboy steak, the cowboy filet and the ribeye served with grilled vegetables. Only place in the DR where they ask you the weight of your steak, sometimes 8oz will do, however some other time I will require a 14 or 16oz cut. They are all cooked on a natural charcoal grill and seasoned only with salt and their "chimichuri" sause (a mixture of olive oil, parsly, garlic and salt - which is also placesd on the table for the bread and meat), which gives them a unique flavor.
The service is astounding, you feel as if there is one or two people devoted to your table. The decor is western and in spite of the not so casual appearance, you see a mixture of informally dressed young people and older couples and groups full dressed-up. No dress code, yet maybe shorts are not permitted.
As for the price, it is a bit high when compared to other restaurants in the country, however I believe that the experience and the meal is worth every single penny.
In my case, every visit to the DR, deserves multiple visits to David Crocket... many times straight from the airport!
