Here the cinema-going public are offered seasons of arts films, along with premières of important new productions from all over the world. There is seating for 1500 people, and a gallery in the foyer where work by contemporary artists is exhibited, along with posters of films produced by the Instituto Cubano de Arte y Cinematografía–ICAIC–(Cuban Cinema and Arts Institute). This is also one of the venues used for Havana's annual Latin American Film Festival. Apart from the main screen there is a video projection room, which generally shows subtitled European films.
