Probably the most famous Jazz Club in Cuba, it is located in the cultural sector known as La Rampa Habanera. Each night offers an explosion of live music, performed by some of the island's best jazz interpreters. Many internationally renowned figures have also graced this stage, including George Benson, Chucho Valdes and Gonzalo Rubalcaba. The club has a capacity of 130 and offers a selection of light meals and a national and international cocktail list. There is no cover charge for two people.
just back from a two-months-stay in havana and the quality of the bands that perform here is as high as you get it anywhere in paris or london. once with oscar valdez and his band the electricity went down (nothing new around here) and the percussionist that started a solo still kept on playing in total darkness for 5 minutes.
the best jazz concert i have ever been to. tallented performers. superb music!!! a lot of fun, cute waiters, free drinks (e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g), really nice place- clean, good style...
