This is a working gallery and studio for Russian born Natasha and her Vietnamese husband, Tan, this is the social center for all things avant-garde in Hanoi. Exhibitions are mounted intermittently by less traditional, more experimental artists; meantime the walls are covered with works of art from a private collection spanning thirty years. Work in progress ranges from woodcarvings to scrap-sculpture and stone figurines. At about ten every morning happening artists from around the city tend to meet and drink tea here.
I had an amazing experience meeting Mr. Vu Dan Tan at Natasha Gallery in Hanoi. A moder artist that has been recognized in America , Asia and Europe. He has an impressive list of exhibitions and biennales were he has participated.
I felt in love with one of his pieces and I brought it home.
In my opinion, it is very difficult to find modern art in Vietnam. I have seen many copies of famous artist and many pieces that look no different from each other.
Happy to find an unique piece from Dan Tan!!
