Description

With olives and full-bodied red wine on offer, one could perch at the bar at La Salsa for hours. The funky first floor is usually filled with expatriates chatting away over wine. A list of tapas provides fabulous nibbling food for groups. This area is a great place to meet for a pre-dinner drink or make a light meal of the tapas (order many as they are rather small). An upstairs dining area provides room for more serious eaters, the menu features more substantial dishes with Mediterranean accents.

Rat in my lap!!

I was so excited when my mom and I sat down and this restaurant. Great looking menu, nice ambiance, full of people....after having taken only a few bites of my dinner, I felt my napkin shift. I looked down and there was a rat in my lap! I told the waitress, she said she didn't understand. I told the manager and the owner. No "I'm sorry", no one offered to pay for my meal, (which we couldn't finish for obvious reasons), no remorse at all. Overall, they acted like they didn't care because we were tourists and would be gone tomorrow. Totally discusting!

Excellent food in the form of spansih tapas. Particularly good is the daily special with an good selection of wines. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Good crowd. Thoroughly recommended!!
