One of my worst dive trips ever.

Just came back last week (May 2009) and I would never recommend Calypso to any of my dive buddies, unless I have a vendetta.
Picked us up 25mins late from Kata Beach. Herded us plus luggage into a pick up truck (10 of us); we would expect at least a minivan. No briefing given when we were picked up as to our itinerary. Went on to pick up supplies from 2 locations, which were crammed into the truck together with us.
Reached the pier, but were told to wait in the truck (which was getting real hot). Finally told us to get down after 10 mins. Got onto boat, and only then were we told that we'd be diving before we went to the resort. This meant we had to gear up on board (some of us had to open up our luggage as we had split up our dive gear).
No towels were provided and the food SUCKED. This was a real excercise in cutting corners. The guide was pretty much useless in looking for critters and lost us twice.
We were kept on board for 3 hours waiting for sunset after the last dive, as 4 other divers wanted to do a night dive - even though the resort was just a kilometer away.
After the night dive, we were crammed into an longtail boat to be sent to the resort (they could have sent us earlier, but I guess they were just being penny pinchers).
Overall a real waste waste of time. Avoid this operator at all cost! Be afraid, be VERY afraid !
