Description

Located in Krabi, Phuket's sister province, only 55 kilometers northeast of Phuket, this beach has been ranked as one of the most beautiful in the world along with neighboring Rae Lai Beach. The Phra Nang Peninsula is completely cut off to land transport by walls of rock, which tower over the white sand and sparkling sea. Surrounded by tropical plants and serenaded by the call of colorful birds, this must be as close to paradise as you can get.

Paradise Destroyed

Twenty years ago Phra Nang was a paradise on Earth, young people from around the world having fun in a beautiful place on a reasonable budget. Now greedy developers and the corrupt authorities have turned it into a concentration camp, all that was free and beautiful has been walled off or destroyed, and I'm talking about the mood as well as the scenery. Have a look if you must, you will soon see what I mean. Anyone who had enjoyed the place back when it was still many young traveler's ultimate destination for fun, I must warn you- don't go back unless you want a broken heart.

Krabi's best beach

Amazing scenery with the limestone karsts as a backdrop and views of the islands. Friendly locals and entertaining monkeys. The weather is ideal all year for swimming and sunbaking. This beach is for people wanting to relax, families and the adventurous who like rockclimbing and sea-kayaking.
