Patong Beach, Phuket

Well, I cannot recommend coming here for cheap seafood. Dinner for two at Savoy seafood restaraunt: 6 oysters, two fish plates and two Singha beers... $76.00 USD. Not what I expected.... after that.. .the night life is certainly alive and well in this area of Phuket..... maybe 50 plus small bars.. .some packed.... some empty..... but mostly alot of fun and alot to see.... some high priced shopping as this is a tourist center... and even some interesting minus fifty characters approaching us, a few beers, some loud music and alot of people watching... nice night out on the town... nothing too risque, though... that is readily available and very obviously on display.

Its not the place to go if you want a quiet relaxing vacation, It is a place to go if you want a lot to do and you want to party. There are hundreds of shops and hotels. If you walk around you will probally get Thais begging you to buy suits or take a Taxi. They sort of get in the way if you know where you are going and are in a hurry.

the mornings in this place are beautiful with the mist hanging over the landscape. and the sunsets are worthy of being preserved forever, as the sun sets into the sea the colors produced are unimaginable. The only thing I dislike about this place is that I can't be there now
