Description

This place promises a unique experience for all nature lovers. The Phuket Butterfly Garden and Insectarium has a fascinating collection of several hundred of the finest specimens of tropical butterflies, flying around freely under a vast dome. This is the first insect exhibition in Thailand in cooperation with Kasetsart University. Luxurious vegetation, streams and ponds also provide a home for a large collection of exotic insects and fish. Giant insects and spiders are kept in a specially secure section.

I wouldn't go again. All of the butterflies were the same colour. It becomes a smidge boring after a while. It was a bit expensive for what it is. I got a kick out of holding a massive catterpillar though. Also the tarantula's are huge. I would have liked to hold one of them in my hand but I can understand why it's not a good idea.

A real butterfly house

We have visited many butterfly houses around the world. But this is the place where we can call the real butterfly house. Actually, we used to be here once about 3 years ago. It wasn't so impressed. This time we are told that it is changed a lot, so we just try. It is much improved. the leaf butterflies are so beautiful. They are lots and pretty. We sure we will come back again.

We love it very much

We have a splendid time at the garden. We actually were suggested by tuk tuk driver and just gave a try. It work out brilliently. The place is so colourful and there are lots of butterfly. One of them just stop and take a rest on my shirt, which give me an opportunity to observe her (I think) closely. We really have a great time.

This place is cool !!!

It was fun because as soon as we enter in the garden. Butterflies were just flying in front of us just like they were playing with us. They are lots. We can see when they eat or actually drink. And we lucky enough to see when they just trying to get out from the pupa. It was amazing.
