Best Italian on Phuket

First of all, I need to say something to one of the other reviewers who wrote "Fortunately all three restaurants were washed away by the tsunami." Anyone who would say such a horrible thing obviously has no clue what they are talking about. Heartless people in this world...
In fact of the three restaurants, only Da Maurizio was physically ravaged by the tsunami. It was entirely rebuilt and renovated over a year ago. They brought in a new chef and the food, which was pretty good before is now incredible. They have healthy options, great salads, live fish, and of course pasta. The service is top notch and the location is just stunning.
The prices will set you back a bit and are high for Thailand but it is worth it. All three restuarants (Da Maurizio, Baan Rim Pa and the new Joe's Downstairs) obviously have their act together. Save your special Phuket nights for these places. Also great for the sunset.
