"Akha Mountain People" Show, Chiang Rai

A fascinating way to discover hilltribe culture, as you will learn about the Akhas as well as the Lahu, Hmong, Yao, Lisu, and Pakoyo. It is well-worth making the three-hour trek north to the Golden Triangle as the journey itself is a treat. The entrance fee is THB280. Shows can also be organized for special occasions by tour operators, with a minimum package fee of THB15,000 per show, and there is seating for up to 300 persons (book seven days in advance). The regular show is held once a month so check with the TAT for exact dates.
