Description

This restaurant sits in an attractive setting on the River Ping, with views of Doi Suthep and the old city of Chiang Mai. Patrons can dine on the riverside terrace, or join the nightly riverside boat trip (THB70 extra) to enjoy a meal while gliding past old temples and houses on the riverbanks. Subtle candlelight creates a romantic atmosphere. The menu offers top-notch Thai, Western and vegetarian fare. Try the Mussels in Garlic Sauce, Thai Chicken Flambe, and shrimp in Thai curry served with crispy rice cake (menu changes regularly). Soft drinks, a full bar and exotic cocktails are available.

What a pleasant experience

I had made a reservation for my fiance' and her family while in Los Angeles. I emailed the owner and asked if he could have a cake made with writing in Thai, asking my fiance' to marry me. Dinner was excellent on the river cruise, and the cake was wonderful. My fiance' was ultra excited when the cake arrived. I reccomend the dinner on the river cruise, very highly. G. I have been to this restaurant many times. The service, food and music are all excellent. I plan on going back again in 2008.

Very pleasant

Have been here each time I visit Chiang Mai which is once or twice a year. You will have to book for the weekends as it is very popular located on the bank of the Ping River. If you are lucky enough to be in Chiang Mai for Loy Krathong festival in November, this is a great place to enjoy the evening. Food was excellent, good service considering how busy it was and quite reasonable considering its location. try not to get a table too close to the band, as it can be a little difficult to talk as it is a bit noisy. Will be back in March 2007.

Truly a Chiang mai treat! Fun and lively mix of Thai and western patrons. Live music Great food and friendly staff. Also be sure to try there river cruise, the food is great and the lights and sounds of the activities along the river add a new feeling to the city. Just a wonderful time.

Something for everyone

Great menu - something for every taste - well cooked, well presented, well served - and a great selection of live music that changes in style as the evening goes on, so there's sure to be entertainment to your taste as well. Add the choice of the ambiance inside or the cool of the evening outside overlooking the Ping River - then look at the tiny bill and marvel! We can't wait to be back

It's perfect, absolutely no complaints - love the food, love the people, love the position - the best! We will be back again and will keep going back.
