Red Lion English Pub and Restaurant
This well-patronized pub maintains a very British atmosphere, from the darts team to the menu. It has a fully air-conditioned bar and an outdoor terrace where you can watch people shopping at the Night Bazaar. A satellite TV screens live sports and the BBC World News, perfect for die-hard Brits.
There is nothing to dislike about the Red Lion. Well situated to watch the evening world go by whilst enjoying a cold beer or sampling the excellent cuisine. I recommend the Red Lion as a first port of call to any first-time visitor to Chiang Mai - you will not be disappointed. Long may you provide sustenance to weary travellers.
The Red Lion has a great location in the Night bazaar. It is just off the main road but still lots of activity and local colour. A large screen showing Live sports at the weekend and great English food. Draught Guinness was a real treat and service was friendly. Recomended.
I visited the Red Lion recently and was made to feel so welcome by Mathew and Kevin, the owners. The food is excellent (western & Thai), the staff are always smiling, there is a good choice of drinks and the music is so varied to suit all types. The TV sports coverage is excellent and being a sports fan myself I was pleased to be able to watch Everton, my team, winning yet again.Great also to be able to keep up with all the latest results from the UK and around the world. If you are to visit Chiang Mai then this place is a must!

your typical Irish pub, though the posters celebrating Irish culture help to justify the pub's name. Upstairs is a ...
