Premium prices and bad customer service
Central Chidlom is a store where goods are high end and very expensive. Unfortunately the service is not world class as one would expect when paying premium prices.
In my most recent experience there, I went to the Sanrio "Hello Kitty" department to buy a wall clock for my wife. It was in the morning shortly after the store opened, and there were few other customers. When I went to the counter to buy the clock, I was not greeted or acnknowledged, even though there were three sales people staffing the counter. They were off in a world of their own tending to some details, oblvious to me standing there needing help. After a couple of minutes I left without buying anything and went immediately to the Customer Service counter to fill in a comment form. I was greeted in a friendly manner by the service staff as I should have been by the Sanrio store staff. I filled in the comment form and asked for a copy, which the service person obliged.
I waited for a week for Central to send a response. When none came, I went online to the Central web page to follow up on the 'contact us' page. After filling in the online form, I tried to send the feedback, only to find that the web submission form does not work. It hangs up and will not complete the submission.
Central Chidlom pretends to be world class, but my experience has been very disappointing. It is not likely that I will ever spend any money at a store where they treat customers in this manner.
