Kinokuniya Books, Khlong Tan

Probably the only international standard bookstore in bangkok with a collection sure to keep any international customer happ. I would definitely like to go back.

When I want to order a book, they always tells me their supplier doesnt have it, here in Kino. in Bangkok. Yet these same books are on the shelves in Singapore Kino. Pleasant atmosphere.

There seem to be more books of the type with large color photos on decorating and design than I am used to seeing in U.S. in the large book chains. there are Asian publishers represented that just don't seem to get distributed in Barnes and Noble or Borders. However, the prices seem high and when I search for the same books online, they are much cheaper than if I had bought them in Bangkok. (Less heavy than to carry on plane, too!) The store in Siam Paragon is a great store with sections devoted to books in Thai, English, Chinese, and even a few shelves of French and German titles.

Kinokuniya have a large outlet in Emporium, Sukhumvit Soi 24, on Sky Train route. They have an enormous outlet in Siam Paragon, Sky Train again. What I love is to have my books covered in protective plastic F.O.C., A great service. They carry a great range of SF.
