Description

This is the only spot in Bangkok where you can see a live puppet show. The one-hour daily show, from 10-11am, includes the story of the Ramayana as well as legends from neighboring Myanmar and India. From 9.30-10am, before the show, you can watch how Thai traditional masks are made. Night shows run on Friday and Saturday from 7.30pm. Souvenirs, from key chains to khon masks, are available for purchase.

Puppets who are alive!

I like the way puppet play with people. They broke the forth wall. I like it's movement and even I could see it was breathing. I thought it live. It could dance Thai traditional dance even better than men. Unbelievable! This is good for family trip and those who is interested in Traditional Art.

One of Bangkok's gems

Not at all difficut to find, the theater is a gem of Bangkok. It offers a glimpse of Thai mythology as well as the opportunity to meet the players after the show for photos. There are numerous exceptional restaurants in the immediate area and the theater lies nestled in the Suan Lum Night Bazaar. Bottom lime: everything you need for a romantic night out that includes a cultural experience to remember. Highly recommended.
