Govinda, Watthana

As a vegetarian, I know I will not have to see, smell, and certainly not taste a dead animal. There's never a fish-eye staring up at you when you walk to or from your table. No ribs to spare from chickens, cows, or otherwise. No bones about it whatsoever. No lobster's claws or no feelingless feelers. Not even a clam shell. But that's only a part of what makes this my favourite restaurant in town. What I like every time I visit Govinda is that I know I will get a delicious, high quality meal served to me by a polite and conscientious server. The owners are friendly and very willing to answer questions about the food. What else? Lots of classic and contemporary dishes to choose from, generous portions. Italian wine promotions, tempting desserts. I could go on but this is starting to sound like I work for the place or an advert agency. Put it this way. If for no other reason, you should visit Govinda for their fabulous thin-crusted pizza. Unlike most of the other pizzarias, Govinda gets it ALL right: the crust, the sauce, and all the toppings. I'll bet your belly it's best around.
