A cosy restaurant in a very nice place of silom bangkok. Foog is excellent with incredibly good tasting french meat. Service is perfect. Very simpathic host. terrasse is delightfull night time. try out the "cote de boeuf" for two persons, or the steak tartare. There's also nice oyster from time to time. This is a restaurant to try if you go to Bangkok

Indigo is the most friendly French restaurant in Bangkok. Food is perfect and the choice of wine is great. Located in one of the most lively place of Bangkok. That's a great spot! Long live Indigo! We LOVE it!

We visited this place few weeks ago when we were in Bangkok. We found the food is just ok nothing special .The meat was not that tender compared with the price we paid.

I received food poisoning from the pork & mushroom sauce dish here on Dec 20th, 2010. Up all night sick as a dog. Went to BNH hospital, which by the way is an excellent hospital, to find out that I obtained a severe abdominal infection from the food. (Yes, I have the hospital bill to prove my assertions.) How I know it was received from this restaurant is because I felt fine all day long and fine during the days leading up to the dinner. I had barely eaten all day. Within a half hour of the dinner I was beginning to feel the effects. A few days later I called up the management to let them know that this specific dish gave me food poisoning. (Management is a little arrogant Frenchman.) Guess What!!! The manager DID NOT CARE. The little Frenchman had the audacity to say that I was just one out of hundreds that they serve and I did not matter. He offered no apology and he became indignant to boot. Un-flippin-believable!!!! To top off the bad food, the attitude of the staff serving the food was at times surly/indifferent. My gut instinct is that if you do not appear to have money or you do not look flashy or important, then the service goes downhill. My date and I waited over 30 minutes for the food. When I told them to cancel the order they said the food was coming right out. Did someone do something with my dish before serving it too me? I do not know. But I do know that our waitress was incapable of providing a sincere smile and unable to make the dining experience one to fondly remember. One should not feel like they have been ripped off as they leave a somewhat fancy restaurant. This is exactly how I felt after tendering over 1,450 baht for average tasting food. If you truly want an enjoyable experience, please do not visit this pretentious little hole in the ground of a restaurant. Management only wants your money and they could care less as to whether they give you good food or bad food.

My friends went to these place, two of them a couple (gay). One of them had his hand on the other's lap and at some point they kissed in the mouth like any couple would do. Next thing, the manager, a french short guy ran into them claiming: "this is a family place and we don't appreciate that". When my friends defended themselves he just invited them out, saying "I can show you the door". This is unbelievable. First, the restaurant is located in the very gay neighborhood of Bangkok. Second, most of their clientele are gay men. I know this because I used to go there often before this pitiful event. I even celebrated my partners birthday there and it was a twelve gay men group. Third, Thailand is not known for being a homophobic country and one of my friends in the couple is Thai, so it seems terrible to me that these people come to set their business here, because maybe they wouldn't be able to do so in their France. And they have such disrespectful behavior with the locals and with the hand that feeds. I encourage all the people I know to never go there!

We were recommended Indigo by a nearby restaurant which was full. We were very pleased when we arrived as the setting looked very pleasant. We sat down and waited about 5 mins to be given a menu. After 10 mins my husband asked if we could order a drink. I was very hungry and when the drinks eventually arrived I asked for some bread and was sharply told 'it was coming'. The food was delicious. The manager wandered around looking decidedly bored and not once did anyone ask how our meal was or would we like anything else even though there were 4 staff a few feet away from our table most of the time. Unfortunately through our whole meal a waitress stood in front of us sticking a Vick stick up both her nostrils. I tried to ignore her and when I eventually asked if she would mind stopping the 3 other waiters/waitresses turned round looked at us, turned back and she carried on as before. The answer to the lack of service came when our bill arrived, there was service already on. My husband called the manager over who said 'Yes' and appeared most annoyed when my husband explained why we would not be paying the service charge. What a pity as our experience could have been very different. We travel to Bangkok regularly and certainly will not be recommending or visiting this restaurant again.
