Changing of the Guard

Description

Every two-hours or so (the times never seem to be exact) visitors are treated to the changing of the guards at the Martyr's Shrine. Two rifle-carrying military police stand rigid at attention and then end their shift with a robotic march. Half of the fun of this daily event is watching some of the more daring, or depending on your point of view, the more annoying, tourists try to taunt the guards into flinching while they stand at attention, or join them when it comes time to march.

Amazed

U would be amazed by how united their steps are... The sound they made using their rifles is so well co-ordinated. I believe lots of effort are put in. And the guards are quite poor thing having to stand under the hot sun and let people look at them as if their are weirdos. Well, as they have got certain timing for the change of shift. Hence, it is always crowded. In order to have the best view, must know which area is the best to stand.

You must see this!

I`m from the Armed Forces of my country and coming here to see the changing of the guard really reignites the passion for ones loyalty to their country. Thier precise military armed drills are a definate must for all to admire. Must see. Note: Please be mindful that respect has to be given to these guards. It saddens me to see tourists laughing at them.
