There was a time when The Aristocrat was a household word for eating out in Manila--so much so that it could justifiably call itself "The Philippines' Most Popular Restaurant." As befits a restaurant that has been synonymous with Filipino food, the decor revolves around a native motif, while the menu brings you the joys of Filipino cooking in such traditional fare as sinigang (sour soup) and crispy pata (deep-fried pig's knuckles). Honey-cured chicken barbecue, the house specialty, has been a favorite of generations of Filipinos. Drinks include beer, juices, soft drinks and mineral water. Average cost per person: PHP300.
...for 6 people eating under $30 including drinks, desserts, main courses, and appetizers; it was well worth it, the food was excellent, clean and airconditioned establishment, and you can't beat the service (especially if they know you're american, they treat you like royalty), you can't go wrong with the price of foods compared to here in the U.S....loved the shrimp here and sushi
Of course, aristocrat mean chicken barbeque. It is good but most of the time i'm there, I always asked the waiter to bring back my order and make it well done. Always, that's happening. The reason is that, there is blood in the chicken and I don't like that.
About the waiters, well their good but not friendly and once in a while, they will forget my orders, but when you ask for the receipt, your missing orders will be recorded. hehehehe........
Aside from those small things, Aristocrat will always be CHICKEN BARBEQUE.
