Tokyo Tokyo offers Japanese food targeted at the young generation. Modern dining chairs and fixtures in red and white are complemented by a characteristically Japanese decor. Set lunches consist of one course, rice and drink. Shrimp or mixed tempura and tonkatsu (pork cutlet) are all-time favorites. Side orders of gyoza (dumplings) or sushi and sashimi go well with the refreshing iced tea. Drinks are limited to juices and soft drinks. The place accommodates only about 30; have your order (minimum: PHP150) delivered if you live or work in the neighborhood. Average cost per person: PHP150.
We just want to share our not-so-good experience with one of your branches... Mall of Asia. This experience happened earlier, Feb 29 2012 @ 12:10PM. We chose your restaurant since there are only few people dining at that time and the service was quite acceptable. So we ordered 2 Honey Chicken Bento Meals and Shitake Mushroom Meal.
Around 12:20PM, we noticed that there are more people coming and waiting for their foods to be delivered (including me and 2 of my friends). We also heard a lot of people following up their orders and becoming agitated. We asked one of your crew to at least give us our drinks while we wait, to which they obliged. Your crew was offering "hot rice", which we dont appreciate since almost all of your customers were still waiting for their food.
Since we only have one hour lunch time and our expectation was not met (no one informed us that we will wait for more than 20 minutes), we decided to go straight to Manager Suzette to follow up our orders. I told Manager Suzette that we've been waiting for our food almost 30 minutes and we only have an hour for our lunch. This is what she replied: "Ah, 30 minutes pa lang, eto na sya oh", then one of your crew delivered it to our table, excluding the Shitake Mushroom Burger which took another 5 minutes of waiting.. This is quite a surprise especially coming from a manager. I am a Quality Assurance Customer Service Manager too and in this line of work, it is expected to apologize for any inconvenience that was brought to any customer regardless if he/she was or not the one inflicted it. And since she represents your company, she could have at least acknowledged our frustrations.
The story does not end there... While me and my other friend tried to enjoy our meal, my other friend was still waiting for her order to arrive. She followed up her order several times and until she asked how long will she have to wait, then lo and behold, her order is next to be delivered. She noticed that the Shitake Mushroom was cold (I myself touched it with my bare fingers). My friend asked Manager Suzette (again) if the Shitake Mushroom should be cold, your Manager replied "Opo, ganun talaga. Yun lang ba?".
I emailed this letter to the address that the manager gave to us... Surprise! Surprise! It bounced back... Grrr
ようこそ! The branch of Tokyo Tokyo here in SM Fairview is very good. In terms of the taste of the food it was superb and sumptuous. What a gastronomical experience I had still it comes with a very reasonable price. I really recommend for those who haven't tried yet to eat japanese food, why not give it a try then you decide. The time it takes to be served on my table is just enough considering the effort that they put into that meal & your palate will be very satisfied and want for more.
my sister and I went to your tokyo tokyo branch at 168 mall food court in binondo, manila earlier today. we would like to report that you should train your managers to be more courteous and stop ordering customers like we work for you! also, to smile when talking to customers. we should not discriminate, but it seems he may also be gay, and maybe having a bad day, as he was frowning all the time. but still it is no excuse to throw his temper at customers, and act like he is our boss. please do something about it. your food is not that great, and with bad customer service, you really are terrible. be private with this message, and just for your department.
The new branch at Tarlac City is most welcome since me and my family are avid fans of this resto. However, it surprised me to learn last Dec. 26 when dining with my family that this branch does not offer unlimited rice as in all other branches in the Philippines. One of the crew said that it is a "new setup." What new setup is that!? Besides, the rice they are serving (Thai Rice daw, w/c I doubt)is not cooked Japanese style (buhaghag) so you can't use your chopstick properly.
Attention!!! TokyoTokyo franchising, what is this new setup that has altered by conception of your food.... Just asking
My wife and I visited one of your Tokyo Tokyo in one SM Mall and asked question, manager provided us wrong information. He was more profit oriented person instead of being more customer satisfaction focused. This will be our last visit.
Date: October 8, 2008

while stating to eat , dirt came out of the aircon diffusers that went directly to the food I am eating. The Manager immediately replaced the bets chix teriyaki but I am not 100% sure if you replaced them.
the dirt which came out of the aircon diffusers only shows that you or Ayala dont have preventive maintenance on your airconditioning units.
for your information I immediately left without touching my order.
I hope this incident will improve your services.
For the store manager, he should again talk to me after the replacement so he will know if I am satisfied with what he has done.
THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I am Luisa Garcia, a mother of two children. Last April 1, 2008, I went shopping and buying groceries at SM Marilao with my 8-month old daughter. The Mall was full of people and I had a hard time because my husband was not with me. I was carrying my daughter or rather strapped with me. Well anyway, i decided to eat at Tokyo-Tokyo SM Marilao and there was this Service Crew, James, (whos name in his nameplate appears as "Jimson", good thing he corrected me.) who ever so politely greeted me and assisted me as I entered their store. He assisted me with by carrying my tray and my groceries for me and when he had served the food on my table, did'nt wait to be asked for a high chair, graciously providing me with one and seating my daughter in it. He even fetched me my condiments which I forgot and offered me a glass of water while I was waiting for my food. I was truly thankful for a crew like him. I offered him a twenty peso tip which he politely declined, saying that it was his job to assist me all the way on my visit in their store. I am wrote this review to commend him in the Tokyo-Tokyo Company. That, I think, is the least I could do for him. Thank you, James. And thank you, Tokyo-Tokyo SM Marilao. You are very good in tarining your crews. I hope many oither Service Crews would follow in his steps and provide Quality Service.
Had lunch at the Food Court area and was very disappointed with the service provided. After waiting for 30 mins. for the food....i got a bad service. Main meal was served w/o the drinks, the soup, the utensils and dessert. I can't help but complain to the crew and manager.
Better try other branches.....i will not return to this branch again.
Last night, March 6, 2008 at around 6:00 p.m. my husband and I ate at Tokyo-tokyo Robinsons Lipa Branch. We ordered beef misono meal for 2 and 2 red ice tea. It takes 15-20 minutes before the food was served to us. When the food was already set in our table I smell something bad and look where it comes from. I told my husband maybe the table was not wipe properly. So we continuously eat our food but upon eating I noticed that the rice was not good t0 eat. I complained to the crew who served the food and requested to change our rice. We wait for the food and suddenly notice another male crew who hurriedly went out from the kitchen carrying a container and went to the other food chain beside the tokyo-tokyo restaurant maybe buying rice for us. It takes another 10-15 minutes before new plate of rice was served to us.
***** THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD ****
I WILL NOT EAT AT ANY TOKYO TOKYO RESTAURANT AGAIN!
